In this work the design and implementation of the automatic control system thermal operation of the shaft furnace for melting copper cathodes based on a mathematical model. The article describes the relevance and prerequisites for the development of this information system, as well as the stages of its implementation into existing production. The analysis of the system criteria, made together with technologists of PMK "Uralelectromed" indicates improvement in energy efficiency of the equipment.
